The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is one of the largest Trusts in the country and we are looking for an extremely talented, enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Scientist to work in the non-ionising section of the Leicester Radiation Safety Service.

 

Radiation Safety is a major part of the Medical Physics Department at UHL, providing radiation safety advice and scientific support to ionising and non-ionising radiation users across the county, serving the Trust, the wider local NHS community and clients outside the NHS.

 

The applicant will support the Head of Non-ionising radiation to provide quality control checks and audits of MRI, laser and ultrasound facilities. Research interests will be encouraged where they are aligned with the research interests of the Trust.

 

The applicant should be state registered or if the applicant has an academic background should be able to gain state registration within an agreed period.

 

Leicester is a vibrant multicultural city with good transport links and is within easy reach of the Peak District countryside and London by train.
