Are you a highly motivated Registered General Nurse currently practicing in the field of Infection Prevention and Control, who is ready to advance their practice to a Strategic Level? If so an exciting new opportunity has arisen within Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC), contributing to the development of service strategy and directly providing tactical leadership, specialist expert advice, in the field of infection prevention and control.

You will clinically lead and manage the infection control nursing and administrative team, ensuring the delivery of high quality patient care and the provision of specialist advice and guidance for all health care professionals and support staff across the Trust. You will also lead on multi-disciplinary infection prevention and control education and the development of high quality evidence based infection prevention and control policies and practices throughout the Trust.

Andover War Memorial Hospital (AWMH) provides community and hospital services including a minor injuries unit, outpatient clinics, diagnostic imaging, day surgery, rehabilitation and maternity services.

The Trust employs around 5,500 staff and has a turnover of over £370 million a year. There are over 18,000 public and staff members. As a Foundation Trust it as directly accountable to its members through the governors. The Council of Governors represent the interests of their constituencies and influence the future plans of the Foundation Trust.
