Kettering Dialysis Unit

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 5 nurse to become part of the leadership team at Kettering. We currently have 132 patients dialysing in the unit.

The unit is open 24 hours a day Mon/Wed/Fri and closes at 18.00 on Tues/Thurs/Sat. We offer patients nocturnal dialysis.

You need to have at least 2 years’ experience in renal/ haemodialysis at band 5 or above. Ideally you will have a degree and teaching qualification and evidence of CPD

The leadership team you will be joining is dedicated to training of both staff and patients and providing a high level of care. The management team is highly visible across both units.

You will need to have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • A desire to deliver a high standard of care to chronically ill patients
  • Be flexible
  • Excellent teaching skills and be motivated to develop the staff
  • Good leadership skills
  • Willingness to work towards a non medical prescribing qualification
