Band 6 Interventional Radiographer


This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated radiographer to join our friendly multidisciplinary team. Previous Interventional Radiology experience is desirable, but not essential as full training and support will be provided.

The University Hospitals of Leicester is one of the largest teaching Trusts in the UK. It has a vision to deliver Caring at its best at 3 sites and employs over 14000 staff. Interventional Radiology provides 24/7 support for trauma, vascular, musculoskeletal, renal, Hepato-biliary, urology, oncology, obstetric and paediatric services. You will be working with up to date equipment and systems and alongside a wide range of progressive and supportive consultant radiologists

We work 08.30 – 17.00 Monday – Friday and participate in an on call rota which works out to 3 or 4 on calls per month. This post would involve working at Leicester General Hospital and Glenfield Hospital. Hepato-biliary and Nephrology patients will be moving from Leicester General Hospital to a brand new department at Glenfield Hospital in 2021. We have a day case unit at each site and look after a variety of inpatients

We encourage extended roles and have staff performing change of nephrostomy catheters, barium swallows, vascular access, gastric band adjustment and hysterosalpingograms.
