This role is based at either Exeter or Bristol.

Responsible for facilitation of training and assessments which meet organisational needs. The EPRR Training Officer is accountable to the EPRR Manager for the delivery of training services for the Marauding Terrorist Attack (MTA) Responders and Special Operations Support Teams (SORT) primarily and for other Trust staff and partner agency staff as necessary.

To ensure that the competency standards required by MTA and SORT staff are met at all times and, where deficiencies are identified, implement Trust policy to rectify the identified deficiencies.

To ensure that the training of MTA and SORT are exactly mirrored in an auditable fashion.

To develop a training and education system which ensures common knowledge, capability and performance standard within the Trusts MTA, SORT and wider EPRR teams.

To work in collaboration with clinical governance and managerial colleagues to provide assessment and mentoring opportunities that will contribute to the improvement in the quality of patient care and clinical outcomes.

To supply specialist educational support and guidance to EPRR Officers and EPRR Manager in order to improve the dissemination of learning and facilitate the continuing professional development of staff.
