Research Physiotherapist (50% Research, 50% Clinical)

This post is a fantastic opportunity for Band 5 Physiotherapists to get involved in research. The post has been funded for a number of years by the trust’s Research office and previous post-holders have gone on to complete NIHR bronze awards, Masters in Research and apply for PhDs. The post is 0.5 WTE in research and 0.5 clinical (in a Specialty area to be agreed).

You will be trained in GCP and consent taking and will receive ongoing support and mentoring by the Therapy Research Lead. You will be involved in ongoing NIHR portfolio studies and departmental studies. Your role will be to maintain site files, screen and consent patients, manage treatment sessions, take baseline and ongoing measurements, assist with data entry, liaise with research nurses and local investigators. You will also have the opportunity to develop your own research ideas (linked to service needs) and apply for funding.
