Solent NHS Trust is looking for Administrators to join our Temporary Bank Staffing Service to complete ad hoc work and projects as and when required by our service lines. 

By becoming a member of our Temporary Bank Staffing Service, you will be offered an array of different opportunities of short and long term assignments. These opportunities are only suitable for candidates that are available at short notice and that are looking for temporary work only, as the length of these assignments can vary from a minimum of 1-2 weeks and up to 12 weeks'. 

This is an ideal opportunity to work across different Solent sites/services in Portsmouth, whilst also keeping your working commitments flexible.

Ideally the successful candidate would have current/recent experience in the following duties: word processing, data entry, copy typing, audio typing, medical secretaries, taking minutes of meetings, diary management, organising meetings, filing, post, making routine appointments, photocopying, using variety of systems, answering telephone queries and taking messages as appropriate. Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential.

Knowledge of NHS systems would be an advantage, namely SystmOne, but training can be provided in these systems.

All formal offers to join the Bank Staffing Service are subject to the necessary pre-employment checks, in accordance with the NHS Employment Check Standards, including an Enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be paid by the Trust.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
