Then a nursing post working within Dalgleish ward is the post for you.

You will be working for the Trust’s Community Health Services division, which provides ground-breaking Community Health care services within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We are an integrated and flexible workforce that delivers seamless, high quality, coordinated care, driven by clinical outcomes and a positive patient and staff experience.

We are looking for staff nurses who have experience in medical nursing who will take individual responsibility for their work and for their patients to ensure they have a positive experience as well as demonstrate care and compassion with frail older patients.

You will be based in our in-patient ward in Melton Hospital caring predominantly for medically unwell patients. The ward manages a range of specialities including sub –acute medically unwell patients, those who have complex discharge needs & palliative patients for symptom control or ‘end of life’ care.

The Community Hospital wards all have a multi-disciplinary approach to patient management. Family and MDT goal setting are an integral part of the registered nurse role in all our in-patient areas. Supported by the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse and Matron, you will demonstrate and develop your professional accountability, innovative thinking and contribute to the clear vision for the in-patient nursing areas.

You will be supported through a six month programme of training to ensure you are able to meet your clinical and leadership requirements to provide safe effective care on the ward.

We are looking for nurses who share our passion and commitment for providing high quality care through sound clinical decision making in our busy in-patient ward.

In addition we offer: free parking on all our sites and a shift pattern that includes long day/nightshift pattern. We offer flexible working patterns and an opportunity to work predominantly days or predominantly nights. We can discuss this with you further at interview.

We have a comprehensive training programme for band 5 Staff Nurses as well as a preceptorship programme for newly qualified and return to practice nurses. Please indicate in your supporting information your PIN number and revalidation date if applicable.
