Have you recently qualified and wanting to start your dietetic career or just looking for a change? Consider working for our diverse and dynamic service. Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) are looking for a permanent dietitian to join our friendly, innovative primary care team in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, working for Leicestershire Partnership Trust.

Leicester Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) has a friendly team of approximately 70 staff, made of dietitians, public health nutritionists, dietetic support workers and support team staff covering the population of Leicestershire, Leicester & Rutland.

The posts offer the opportunity to work with a wide range of population groups and health care professionals in a range of settings. Primary Care work includes inpatients, outpatient clinics, patient/staff education sessions, and providing a care home/domiciliary visit service. There may be the opportunity to develop patient information resources and some project work working with CCGs. You will have support from our friendly existing teams. We are looking for dietitians who have good team working skills and can work independently.

The service is committed to CPD and personal development and we have good clinical supervision models and in-house CPD in place to support you. The service is involved in the pre-registration placements for student dietitians undertaking A, B and C placements.

A car driver is essential for this role.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date. We will consider requests to vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

To make the most of your application, we may consider successful applicants for vacancies for the same post in different locations where this is appropriate and meets our mutual requirements.

For all substantive roles the appointment of every new member of staff (excluding medical and dental staff) to a post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, details of which are in our Probation Policy.
