You should:

  • Have a good general level of education including a pass in Maths and English;

  • Have knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, particularly Outlook and Word as you will be using these on a daily basis;

  • Be flexible, show initiative, able to multi task and be adaptable to the needs of the role, team and service;

  • Ideally have experience of working within an administrative role or setting;

  • Be able to demonstrate a sensitive approach to the client group and have an understanding of confidentiality and data protection regulations; and

  • Have good planning and organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a pleasant and approachable manner.

Duties to include (but not limited too):

  • Reception duties i.e. greeting all patient, carers and visitors to the service;

  • Handling routine enquiries via telephone, email or face to face;

  • Creating appointment letters in line with service procedures;

  • Processing internal/external mail; and

  • Scanning, uploading, photocopying and filing documentation.

Individuals will occasionally be required to work at other sites within the Trust therefore some flexibility is required.
