MSK Out-patients Glenfield Hospital

30 hours per week / Mon–Fri (plus weekend and Bank Holiday roster) with potential to increase to fulltime

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) Therapy Services as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in the Glenfield Hospital MSK Out-patients team. The role could also include some work in the telephone triage service and an external clinc.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and highly competent Physiotherapist with a commitment to patient focused care who has significant previous experience in MSK Out-patients physiotherapy as well as good communication, organisational and teaching skills.

As the Band 7 Clinical Specialist you will share the leadership of the Glenfield Hospital MSK Out-patients team alongside the other Clinical Specialist, the Extended Scope Practitioner and the Therapy Clinical Team Leader. You would take an active part in staff development, supervision and teaching as well as maintaining a clinical caseload.

As an active member of the Therapy Service you will participate in service improvement, audit and continuing professional development is expected. As a Clinical educator you will provide placements to Physiotherapy students and take part in the education of other professions.

You will be expected to participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota working on the in-patient Orthopaedic wards.
