Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation NHS Trust (NHFT) is proud to announce the implementation of a specific Non-Registered Staff Induction program. From April 1st 2015 to reflect national changes in the way staff employed within bands 1-4 clinical posts, NHFT has committed to providing on-going investment into the induction and continued professional development of all new and existing staff employed within these valuable roles.

The new Non-Registered Staff Induction program includes the Care Certificate which provides clear evidence to employers, patients and people who receive care and support that the health or social care support worker in front of them has been assessed against a specific set of standards and has demonstrated they have the skills, knowledge and behaviours to ensure that they provide compassionate and high quality care and support. All staff attending the induction program will be supported for a period of up to twelve weeks to complete both the knowledge and practical observations required to meet the specified criteria, contained within the Care Certificate framework. Staff will initially commence in roles supported by allocated supervisors from the clinical environment, and a dedicated Care Certificate Assessor who will maintain contact throughout the induction period completing practical observations whilst providing on-going support to complete the induction programme.
