Experience in either HD or PD is essential. I you would like to broaden your skills and education, take on management responsibilities and work autonomously then this is the role for you.

We are a small team of nurses who work in the Northamptonshire area. We are mainly base at Northampton Dialysis Unit with the opportunity to work from Kettering Dialysis unit. This ensures care can be closer to the patients home, so flexibility is essential.

We have a cohort of approximately 60 patients who undertake haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis at home. This established role includes assessment and advice for patients wishing to self care at home. You will be involved in facilitating and undertaking training for these patients in all aspects of dialysis and management of their chronic condition. You will also have the opportunity to help patients with chronic kidney disease stage 4 & 5 to decide which renal replacement therapy would suit them and whether they would be suitable for a kidney transplant. .

The core hours of the team are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility with in these times is possible. No weekends or bank holidays are worked except in unusual circumstances.

You will need to have access to a vehicle during working hours. Fuel cost will be reimbursed. A lease car maybe available on request.
