LGH Theatre Practitioner Open Day

Are you an ODP or registered Nurse looking for a new challenge? Come and meet our team at the LGH on Saturday October 5th 10:00-14:00

LGH Theatres is a cohesive and friendly place to work. We want to show you what we have to offer with our new development pathways and our facilities!

We welcome qualified band 5 nurses and ODPs with adult registration; but are happy to accept newly qualified nurses and Operating Department Practitioners. We are proud to offer a supernumerary period to allow you to settle into your new role; and newly qualified theatre staff will also receive a 6 month preceptorship package.  During your supernumerary period you will have the support of a mentor/s the Clinical skills supervisors and our experienced multidisciplinary team, helping you to develop the skills and knowledge needed to be happy and successful within your role.

Beyond your initial training we offer a wide range of development opportunities including extensive mandatory training; the opportunity for further academic studies, attendance at external conferences and courses, and an in house anaesthetic course. We also offer band 5 to 6 development courses, preparing you for promotional opportunities within the University Hospitals of Leicester.

Please note- although this Open Day is at the LGH other locations are available on request.
