EMCHC Clinical Area: EMCHC Theatres

We are hosting a recruitment event for a variety of posts within our clinical areas as we expand our services ahead of our relocation to our new facilities at the Leicester Royal Infirmary in 2020.

The East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre (EMCHC) is a unique service providing care for adults and children with congenital heart disease. It was rated as ‘Outstanding’ for caring in our last CQC inspection and provides all aspects of care right from foetal diagnosis all the way into adult life. We provide life-saving interventional cardiac catheterisation and congenital cardiac surgery. EMCHC consists of a specialist ward for children with cardiac conditions and is supported by a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit as well as a busy theatre specific to EMCHC. EMCHC are able to support patients and families within the UHL but also referring units and patients in their own home by a team of Cardiac Liaison nurses and satellite clinics.

EMCHC is part of University of Leicester Hospitals and through this can offer various education opportunities including access to University courses as well as in-house training. We have access to SIM training which all members of the team are invited to participate in and have a variety of bespoke training and education programmes delivered by our education and practice teams.

The recruitment event will be hosted by the teams that work at EMCHC so you will get the opportunity to speak with our staff and visit our facilities and find out about the amazing opportunities available to both newly qualified and experienced Nurses. There is no need to apply for the posts to attend the recruitment event, just come on the day and our teams will be ready to meet you.

Alternatively, if you would like to receive and interview at the recruitment event please apply and following being successfully shortlisted our teams will be able to provide you with an interview and a potential job offer on the day.
