We are looking for exceptional nurses to join our team, whether you are about to qualify, newly qualified or an experienced Staff Nurse, we want to meet you, because we have great opportunities to offer you.

Ashton Ward is a 24 bedded orthopaedic ward situated within the new treatment centre. Total Hip and Total Knee Replacements are predominantly carried out along with back surgery and other minor orthopaedic surgery. Minor trauma patients are also admitted to the ward in line with our own unique admission criteria.

The post would suit a newly qualified Staff Nurse or an experienced Staff Nurse wanting to gain further experience in orthopaedic nursing, rehabilitation and discharge planning. A full induction package will be offered to the successful individual.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills, who is enthusiastic and motivated to learn. You will be working closely with the multi-disciplinary team. Informal visits encouraged

If you need to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, as a requirement of the role, you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£50) and this amount will be reclaimed from your first salary. It is also recommended that following your DBS check you subscribe to the DBS update service.

Please note that news starters with KGH are subject to a six month probationary period.
