As an experienced communications professional you will be responsible for developing, managing and delivering our external affairs and stakeholder work covering the many different and varied aspects of our organisation. It’s important that you have solid, extensive experience in this field and the ability to successfully manage others.


Handling a large, constantly changing workload in a busy environment you will need to handle reputational issues under pressure; providing management and advice to colleagues across the organisation as well as continuing to build positive relationships with all of our external stakeholders which include Government, the Department of Health and Social Care, the Devolved Administrations, Parliament, Local Authorities and leading blood and organ charities and supporters.


It is likely that you will specifically manage our strategies and work for London Stakeholders, Corporate Stakeholders, our stakeholder forum groups and local engagement amongst carrying out reactive management responsibilities.


Your instinctive approach to communications; to working with external stakeholders; first class judgement and sound stakeholder and political awareness will ensure that you excel in this role.

The successful candidate, if external, will be located at Speke (Liverpool), Filton (Bristol), Birmingham or Tooting (London).


This is a full-time, 37.5hours/week, fixed-term/secondment initially for 12 months.
