Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


We are seeking to recruit a dynamic Team Leader to work full time within the CAMHS Crisis Team, you will be joining a strong multi-disciplinary team, delivering a service for young people and their families / carers in Leicestershire.

The individual appointed will work with children, young people and their families (up to 18 years) with the principal objectives of providing crisis assessment and short term intensive, therapeutic interventions to the client group. They will need to be confident in understanding clients with mental health needs and provide appropriate assessments / interventions / therapy and risk management strategies to support them.

The Crisis service operates from 08.00hr – 22.00hr seven days per week for crisis assessments while 08.00hr – 20.00hr for home treatment. The post holder will be required to work full time (37.5 hours) on an internal rotation.

The post holder will support the other Team Lead and the CAMHS Matron to provide the leadership structure for the service overall, to ensure that the whole service is functioning safely. Within this role you will be expected to lead all aspects of clinical governance and service improvement in an ever evolving climate. Good communication skills and ability to work in partnership with a number of other internal and external stakeholders is essential
