We have an exciting opportunity for a Higher Healthcare Technical Officer to join our Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (H&I) Laboratory. Our laboratory in Barnsley carries out testing and provides support services for kidney and stem cell transplantation, the provision of HLA selected platelets and immunogenetic diagnostic testing.

You’ll join our friendly team and play an important role in providing support to laboratory scientists working in the laboratory. The role includes sample reception, reagent preparation and assisting with laboratory testing. You may also be relied on to update donor and patient information and to generate computerised reports or worksheets should the need arise.

You will be required to work 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday and be expected to work flexibly between 08:00 – 18:00. Please note this role has no weekend/bank holiday/shift working.
