NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is an integral part of the NHS and a world leader in delivering a safe and sufficient supply of blood, as well as tissues and solid organs.We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and conscientious individual to join the library service based at the organisation’s headquarters in Filton (near Bristol). The post is 15 hours a week. Working patterns are flexible but should be within the hours of 08.00-18.00 Monday to Friday. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and events.


The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day administrative processes - such as article requests and book loans - and management of the physical resources and equipment in the library. In addition, you will be responsible for carrying out inductions for library users and delivering support and training for using online information resources.


While the job is based near Bristol our library users are located across the country so the service is focused on delivering and marketing resources remotely. Your communication, networking and IT skills will be key to achieving this. You will have experience working in a library/ information or academic setting and be comfortable working independently. You will be able to relate to colleagues at all levels with tact and diplomacy while recognising your own job role boundaries. Experience of working with Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), or equivalent systems is essential,
