At Northampton General Hospital we provide general acute services and hyper-acute stroke, vascular and renal services to people living in Northamptonshire. As well as this we are an accredited cancer centre and provide cancer services to a wider population of Northamptonshire and parts of Buckinghamshire.

Our volunteers are invaluable part of the hospital team. Working with us in a volunteering role means you're playing a part in delivering the best possible care to our patients and their families, whether you're providing admin support in an office or working alongside our ward teams.

    We require a minimum of 6 months commitment for 3 hours a week and you will be required to attend a mandatory training date which usually is a Monday.

  • Buggy Drivers

  • Dementia Buddy

  • Administration

  • Meet and Greet Chaperone

  • Ward Buddy

  • Children's Train Driver
  • Library Assistant

  • Hospital Visitor

  • Fundraiser

  • Hospital Buddy (please note this role involves lots of walking)
