This role will be critical to achieving the organisations objectives of raising awareness that the law is changing in Spring 2020, building trust and providing information.  You’ll play a key role working on the implementation of this important and exciting legislation and the development and implementation of our media and press approach to it. 

 

As an experienced communications professional you will be responsible for developing, managing and delivering our media and press work in this area. It’s important that you have solid, extensive experience in working on high profile, influential and wide-ranging national media campaigns and also be able to work with Marketing and Communications colleagues to develop and review bespoke campaign content for all channels.

 

Handling a large, constantly changing workload in a busy environment you will need to handle reputational issues under pressure; providing management and advice to colleagues across the organisation as well as continuing to build positive relationships with the media.

 

Your instinctive approach to communications, to working with the media and press, first class judgement and sound media, stakeholder and political awareness will ensure that you excel in this role.

The successful candidate, if external, will be located at Speke (Liverpool) or Tooting (London). We will consider all NHSBT locations as a base for a successful internal candidate.

 

This is full-time, 37.5hours/week, fixed-term/secondment for 12 months.
