Solent NHS Trust is a community health provider organisation providing services across the Hampshire area. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position within the Financial Management team. We are looking to recruit an AAT qualified or finalist, Assistant Management Accountant with experience of working in a financial environment, excellent communication skills, an expert user of excel with strong analytical skills. This post would ideally suit an individual working towards CCAB qualification.

Solent NHS Trust serves a population in excess of 300,000 primarily across Southampton and Portsmouth areas, providing Primary, Community, Mental Health and Specialist Services, with a total annual turnover in excess of c£185m for 2017/18.

The post holder will be expected to assist the Senior Management Accountant and wider finance team to provide robust monthly budgetary reporting, variance analysis and regular provision of forecasts, enabling an effective financial management service to be provided to the budget holders and managers within the Southampton Care Group. The post will be based at the Trust HQ in Bursledon.
