The Corporate Nursing and Quality Directorate is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, enthusiastic and versatile Clinical Effectiveness Support Officer to join their Clinical Effectiveness team contributing to the delivery of Quality Assurance through clinical effectiveness activities; ensuring they are aligned, and contribute towards the achievement of the Trusts overall strategic objectives for effectiveness and quality.

The successful applicant will proactively support the Clinical Effectiveness Lead to maintain robust process, documentation and communication, to provide assurance to the Trust Board and Senior Managers, and will undertake a range of responsibilities within clinical effectiveness.

You will participate as an effective member of the Clinical Effectiveness Team, communicating and sharing information and team responsibilities with colleagues, and contributing to the smooth running of the Clinical Effectiveness portfolio of: Clinical Policy, Clinical Audit and NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence).

You will support to develop spreadsheets, data collection tools, tables and graphs and ensure that the Clinical Audit Action Plan log and other databases are kept up-to-date. You will attend and participate in identified Clinical Effectiveness related meetings, and any other relevant meetings as and when required.

Your work will include personal responsibility for resource and time management, and associated administrative functions, including planning and minuting meetings. You will support identified programmes and projects and will be accountable for your effective practice within the operational functioning of the Clinical Effectiveness team. You will keep up to date with evidence based practice, regional and national guidance and developments relevant to the role.

You will need to be flexible and proactive, able to respond and adapt to the varying demands and changing circumstances of a busy team. Resilience is an important quality to succeed in this role, as is the ability to plan and organise personal workloads in response to the new and competing priorities of the team. A key function of this role is to create and maintain effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally therefore enhanced communication skills are essential.
