We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, thoughtful and prayerful Lead Chaplain to lead and develop the work of spiritual and religious care for The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn.

Working within the Patient Experience Division, the Lead Chaplain will have responsibility for managing the Chaplaincy Team and volunteers and to act as an advocate for spiritual care within the Trust. We are looking for a person who is self-motivated, self-aware and is able to provide spiritual sensitivity and compassion for patients, families and staff within the hospital community.

The successful applicant will be experienced in healthcare chaplaincy and have a calling to be at the heart of spiritual care for the hospital, as a spiritual presence within the hospital community.

The current ecumenical chaplaincy team is drawn from Anglican and Free-church traditions and is supported through a service level agreement by the local Roman Catholic Church.

Enjoying broad support within the hospital, the Chaplaincy team contribute to various committees and provide staff training on spiritual care to a wide range of students and staff. The team maintain an on-call chaplaincy provision and provide support within the hospital each day.

The Trust has a modern multi-faith Sacred Space which is used for regular worship and is open at all times for quiet contemplation, reflection and prayer.
