An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of a part time Band 3 Macmillan Recovery Package Team Administrator to join a project team for 12 months to provide administrative support to the Cancer Recovery Package project team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

The Recovery Package is a series of key interventions which, when delivered together, can greatly improve outcomes for people living with and beyond cancer. It has four main interventions, Holistic Needs Assessment and Personalised Care Planning, Treatment Summary, Cancer Care Review, and Health and Wellbeing Events. These elements form part of an overall support and self-management package for people affected by cancer. The Recovery Package is recognised in the NHS England Five Year Forward View and the Cancer Taskforce Strategy which outlines a commitment to ensuring that ‘every person with cancer has access to the elements of the Recovery Package by 2020’. The roll out of these interventions will better support and improve the quality of life of people living with and beyond cancer.

You will be part of a small core project team comprising of a Macmillan Recovery Package Clinical Lead, Macmillan Cancer Pathway Lead and two Macmillan Recovery Package Clinical Facilitators. This project team will engage with a much wider range of clinicians and stakeholders across the Trust.The ideal candidate will have experience of working within healthcare administration, be able to prioritise conflicting work demands, efficiently communicate both verbally and in writing to both internal and external colleagues and continuously demonstrate the Trust Values.

Requirements:

Relevant experience in healthcare administration

Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to balance and prioritise a busy workload
