Children’s Therapy Service: South East Hampshire and Portsmouth City – Occupational Therapist

Looking to develop your clinical leadership skills within the largest provider of community children’s therapy? Want to be part of a large, dynamic, integrated children’s therapy service? We are looking to recruit a full time Band 7 Occupational Therapist and would welcome interest from therapists with experience with Children or Adults in the areas of Neurodisability and / or Complex disability.

We have an integrated model of care across Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Podiatry working together to provide holistic model of care with children and their families at the centre of what we do. We have excellent working relationships with early years services, schools, health and social care colleagues.This enables us to support children and the wider community to develop creative and innovative ways of working together to better meet the needs of both the child and their family. We have a well-established universal and targeted support service and are continuing to develop these areas alongside our specialist services.

We can support you to develop your Children’s Occupational Therapy Clinical and Leadership skills by offering:

  • A friendly and supportive network of colleagues

  • Clinical Supervision and joint working opportunities

  • Regular specialist peer supervision with colleagues across the Solent NHS Trust team.

  • Professional training and update days with colleagues across the region.

About Solent NHS

Since 1 May 2014 we have been the providers of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech & Language Therapy to children and young people 0-19 years across the county of Hampshire including the cities of Southampton and Portsmouth.

We have a telephone advice line, a Schools Therapy Resource Pack, provide school INSET training and receive excellent feedback from the Friends and Family Test.

We value our staff highly and offer full induction, clinical supervision and appraisal, CPD/training opportunities and professional, clinical, managerial and peer support.
