Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


Band 2 RECEPTIONIST/ ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS

Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP)

We are seeking Receptionist/Administration Assistants. This will mainly involve providing administrative support for the Secretaries and clinical staff in these teams, as well as some reception cover. The post holder is required to be highly flexible as they may be required to work across various LPT sites throughout Leicestershire, however the posts are based at:-

  1. Neville Centre Receptionist / Admin Assistant (37.5 hours per week, 9am-5pm)

  2. Bennion Centre Receptionist / Admin Assistant (37.5 hours per week 9am-5pm)

  3. Bennion Centre Receptionist / Admin Assistant (30 hours per week 9am-5pm, days negotiable)

The ideal post holder will have a proactive ‘can do’ attitude, and demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust’s values of Compassion, Integrity, Respect and Trust.

The following are key requirements:

  1. GCSE English Language – Grade C or above or equivalent

  2. Strong keyboard skills or equivalent experience.

  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.

  4. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

  5. Good organisational skills.

  6. Good written and verbal communication skills.

  7. The flexibility to cover for colleagues in different locations is essential.

Other role requirements are:

  • ability to prioritise

  • remaining calm under pressure, especially on the phone

  • having a sensitive, professional approach towards our patients with mental health problems, is essential, as there will be face to face patient and public contact.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a 15 minute typing test.

The role will also involve liaison with clients and their families/carers using the service as well as a range of professionals from both voluntary and statutory agencies.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster.
