Research Associate/ Research Nurse/ Research Allied Health Professional


18 months fixed-term post.


Primary base: NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre- Respiratory, Glenfield Hospital.


As a suitably qualified professional with relevant clinical and/or research experience in applied health research, you will actively participate in the development and conduct of a high quality research programme in the Centre for Exercise and Rehabilitation Science (CERS). You will be based in the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre- Respiratory at Glenfield Hospital. Your time will be split between several studies all based around self-management, physical activity and exercise for individuals with respiratory and/ or cardiac disease. You will be involved in all aspects of research including protocol development, ethics and research governance, recruiting patients, arranging project team meetings and collecting, monitoring and interpreting the data. You will also contribute to study site file maintenance and publications arising from the projects. The post is fixed term for 18 months and travel to other centres may be required.


Training will be provided to ensure that you are competent in all areas of the role (e.g. exercise testing).
