Head of Estates

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Band 8B

Location: All Compton sites, Wolverhampton

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can enable Compton to realise it’s vision, mission and strategic ambitions through the development of Compton’s estates and facilities strategy; hence providing an excellent environment for our patients and their families, our staff, volunteers and supporters.

The successful applicant should :-

  • Be NEBOSH (National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety) qualified.

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline

  • Have a Project Management qualification

  • Be able to evidence experience of creating and successfully achieving an organisational Estates strategy

  • Be experienced within a health and social care environment.

  • Be experienced in leading teams through significant organisational change and shaping department structures to achieve success.

  • Have experience of reporting into Governance committees and management of an effective estates risk management framework

  • Have experience of successful management of construction procurement project oversight through to completion.

  • Have knowledge of building trades and services

  • Have an understanding of Estates legislation and the ability to keep up to date and react to changes.

  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of existing and emerging Health and Safety, environmental and construction management legislation in a healthcare environment.
