Are you a healthcare assistant with experience caring for cancer patients looking for a new challenge?

The Macmillan Cancer Support Worker will assist the Cancer Nurse Specialists in providing high-quality patient-centered care to those living with cancer.

There is one post available, working with patients with a Breast cancer diagnosis.

You will be working closely with other healthcare professionals and liaising with members of the multi-disciplinary team to support the health and well-being of our patients and their families. You will help support patients through their diagnostic and treatment pathways where you will be trained to provide telephone advice, carry out holistic needs assessments for the patient to help meet their information needs and signpost them to support services as part of the Recovery Package.

You will need to be able to demonstrate good communication, interpersonal, organisational and IT skills.
