Secondment/Fixed Term opportunity

(1 WTE)

We are now in a position to offer this post with full-time hours.

This post is offered as a secondment or fixed term contract until 31 March 2020, hosted by NHS Derby and Derbyshire CCG on behalf of the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS). Base to be accommodated in Chesterfield or Derby, with flexibility required to attend other venues and make effective use of hotdesk facilities and agile working.

Please ensure you have your employer’s prior permission before submitting an application for secondment.

This is a very exciting opportunity to take the lead on key improvement projects in maternity services across Derbyshire, working closely with a wide range of multidisciplinary colleagues.

Derbyshire Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) was established in October 2016 in response to Better Births, the report of the National Maternity Review. It incorporates an inclusive and strong alliance with all partners responsible for commissioning, delivering and using maternity and neonatal services, with a view to collaboratively designing and delivering our ambitious transformation plan for maternity care.

We require a Project Manager/Midwife to join our PMO, who will be responsible for a number of delivery projects for Better Births Derbyshire, as well as providing support to our Delivery Groups on specific tasks to achieve the aims and objectives of each of the workstreams within the overarching programme.

You will have the ability to forge effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and will play a key role in ensuring local action and improvement in the roll-out of initiatives that deliver safer, more personalised care for all women and every baby, improving outcomes and reducing inequalities.

If you are someone who is motivated by the size of this large scale change challenge, with the ability to work at pace, under pressure and manage up and down organisations and local care systems, we would welcome your application.

Interviews are expected to take place on Tuesday 23rd July.
