Supply Chain Coordination Limited (SCCL) serves as the new ‘management function’ within the NHS Supply Chain that will deliver savings of £2.4bn back into the NHS by 2023/2024 through implementation of the new operating model.

Currently there is widespread price variation in products and lack of consistency in the range of consumables used in the delivery of patient care. We have an exciting opportunity for a Savings Validation Manager to join our savings team in Normanton. Central to the success of SCCL, and the savings team this role will manage the Normanton savings activity helping SCCL to maintain a focus on our business objectives.

What does a Savings Validation Manager do at NHS Supply Chain?

You’ll report to the Senior Benefits Realisation Manager and you will be a key member of the Performance Management Team, driving commercial and financial decision making in SCCL through the team's activities.

You will have responsibility for contract compliance on Category Tower Service Providers (CTSPs) and support services; savings capture and validation; and play a key role in the development of savings systems.

With responsibility for the validations activity on location, this role is critical to making sure the end to end savings validations activity is efficient, accurate and provides an excellent value add level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

We are looking for someone who is/has:

  • Post-qualification experience in a management role in a complex organisation
  • Experience of leading a team providing performance assurance services to a complex organisation
  • Demonstrable experience in provision of contract assurance plans and associated evidence portfolios
  • Demonstrable experience of management strategies, techniques, processes and tools with experience in a relevant management role
  • Demonstrable experience of cost benefit decision making
  • Managing the production of management information, internal and external reporting across an organisation and sector
  • Involvement in large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects impacting an organisation and wider sector
  • Ability to work well to deadlines
  • Coaching skills for team members
  • Knowledge of savings reporting and validation in NHS Procurement
  • Knowledge of producing high quality management reporting in the healthcare sector
