It’s rare to be presented with an invitation to be part of a major Procurement Transformation Programme at St Georges University Hospitals Foundation Trust.

St Georges is a place of ambition and potential, but seeing this programme come to fruition demands leadership and resilience, and a strong team that will support the Hospital and its people.

These roles are central to change in our organisation, modelling the shared commitment and purpose that will come to define our organisational culture, we are already paving the way forward at St Georges with a number of initiatives core to improving patient care and are regarded worldwide via the TV programme 24 hours in A&E filmed at St Georges.

This is a chance for you to cement your own reputation, as the Procurement team is starting to flourish, enjoying greater visibility and influence within the organisation.

This will be vital in embedding more consistency and accountability in procurement and commissioning activity across the hospital. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the hospital and wider to review current practice, identify areas to develop and achieve better value for money which we can be re-invested into patient care.

The ability to adapt quickly to the context of the NHS is important – we’ll want you to be proactive in engaging with other service areas and to be able to ask the right questions around how goods and services are currently procured.

The SGH Procurement Transformation Programme, needs individuals who are strong communicators, with excellent analytical skills, a methodical approach, who strive for ownership, who want to engage with and influence a large array of stakeholders, and make a difference to patient care.

In a Procurement Manager role you will get the opportunity to directly influence expenditure and goods and services procured by SGH working with colleagues within the team in specific areas such as:

• Supply Chain/Material Management
• Strategic Purchasing
• Operational buying
• Data Analytics
• Collaborative Category Management
