The Procurement team are looking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated Head of Supply Chain to support the Deputy Director of Supply Chain and Performance Responsible for the Operational management of the Mid and South Essex Hospitals supply chain. They will be accountable for the execution of a Supply Chain strategy for Materials Management, including the management of the teams to deliver this strategy across Mid and South Essex Hospitals

They will lead on the implementation of the Organisations selected inventory management system and delivery of associated benefits (£1m+ over 2 years) and be responsible for the provision of professional Supply Chain advice and operational management information across the Trusts.

You will need to have a doctorate degree or equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience as well as MCIPS – Corporate member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply. You will also need significant commercial experience in a supply chain role at a senior level as well as previous experience of managing a supply chain function within a complex organisation.
