Hours: Part-time 22.5 hours per week

Location: Department of Psychological Medicine, Princess Anne Hospital

This is an exciting opportunity to join our exceptional, enthusiastic accredited Liaison Psychiatry team based at the Princess Anne Hospital, covering the Southampton General Hospital site.

Liaison psychiatry is the sub-specialty which provides psychiatric treatment to patients attending general hospitals, whether they attend The Emergency Department or are admitted to in-patient wards. Therefore it deals with the interface between physical and psychological health and predominantly works to ensure the delivery of safe, client focused care.

This post currently sits within the Crisis Pathway in Southampton. It is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to join the team at a significant time of service development. The post holder will ideally be a skilled administrator with excellent communication and IT skills. Their role will be to ensure the provision of a fully comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Department of Psychological Medicine. Ensuring effective administrative support is available to the clinicians to ensure a high standard of patient care is able to be delivered.

There is ongoing support available through regular management supervision and training.
