CAMHS Practitioner CYP-IAPT Trainee Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen in Croydon CAMHS to recruit 2 dynamic and enthusiastic professionals from various disciplines. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and vibrant CAMHS team and the opportunity to train in one of the CYP-IAPT treatment modalities namely CYP-IAPT Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and CYP-IAPT Autism Spectrum Disorder/Learning Disability (ASD/LD). The candidate should decide before interview which treatment modality they are interested.

This is a full time split post between CYP-IAPT training and working in CAMHS. The successful applicant will be expected to attend the CYP-IAPT training programme which is 1 day at University and at least 1.5 days of the week will work in the CAMHS service using the newly developed skills.

The other 2.5 days the successful applicant will work within the busy Getting Advice Team which oversees the referrals and assessments within Croydon CAMHS as well as supporting the Duty and Triage service. The committed multidisciplinary team offers comprehensive assessment to children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders and co-morbid moderate to severe mental health difficulties as well as providing a duty system to assess and manage risk and triage referral information to ensure that young people and families can access the right support at the right time. The post will sit within the referrals management team and will be an integral part of the single point of access (SPA) for CAMHS. The post holder will also be included in future developments for a co-located single point of contact (SPOC) for Children and Young Peoples emotional wellbeing and mental health.
