The Trust is committed to providing high quality integrated health and social care for local people with mental health problems in South West London and more specialist mental health services for people throughout the UK.

Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is an intensive family and community-based intervention, aiming to break cycles of anti-social behaviour by keeping young people safely at home, in school and out of trouble.

We are looking for a qualified professional to lead this friendly and resourceful MST team based in Merton, serving the five boroughs of south west London. The supervisor’s role is to lead a team of four MST therapists, and to ensure good governance of this specialist treatment service to young people.

The successful candidate will receive training in the MST model as well as additional MST supervision. They will be supported in their role by an MST back-up supervisor and by an MST consultant, based at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

MST therapists work with families and young people flexibly, and often conducting home visits and providing early evening appointments. To support therapists, supervisors operate a 24-hour on-call telephone service.

To be considered for this post, candidates must have:

  • Experience of working with families of young people who exhibit challenging behaviour’
  • A preparedness to learn and work within the MST model
  • The ability to relate to, and provide accessible services to, a diverse community
  • Knowledge and skills in risk management and safeguarding
  • Experience of delivering supervision
