Salaried, or salaried with a view to partnership, GP wanted for a stable, thriving two-site practice in rural Dorset

A rare opportunity has arisen for a salaried GP, or salaried GP with a view to partnership, to join our two-site, six-partner PMS Practice in Gillingham, Dorset.

There are up to eight sessions a week available. We offer a competitive sessional rate, and cover any residual indemnity arrangements. Salaried GPs are entitled to six weeks of annual leave a year, plus a week’s study leave.

We currently have over 12,500 patients, and our list size is growing. We own one building and lease the other, and have a diverse workforce including Nurse Practitioners, a Paramedic Practitioner, long-term condition nurses, treatment room nurses and HCAs. We have recently formed a Primary Care Network with another local practice, and are committed to the opportunities for new roles and ways of working that the Network provides.

We are a training practice, regularly hosting GP registrars, medical students and work experience students, and there are many opportunities for personal development and pursuing areas of interest.

We have excellent links with the community teams, hosting the District Nursing team at the Barn Surgery, and Health Visitors, CMHT, Steps2Wellbeing, SALT, and other teams at Peacemarsh Surgery.

Gillingham Medical Practice is a great place to work and we score consistently highly in both patient surveys and measures of clinical practice. We are forward-looking, whilst continuing to prioritise high quality, patient-centred care. The best of both worlds!

For more information, please contact one of the partners or the Practice Manager. Informal visits are welcome.
