The Role


We are seeking a senior NHS finance professional to head our Contracting team. The position reports to the Deputy CFO (Strategy and Planning) and leads a team of three.

 

The role is responsible for

 

    • Leading on contract management with CCGs / NHSE Contracts and provider to provider Service Level Agreements.

 

    • Leading on the negotiation of multi-year and annual contracts as well as any in-year contract variations.

 

    • Being the Trust-wide expert on the NHS Standard Contract and National tariff

 

    • Ensuring that the Trust accurately reports clinical income including the production of regular detailed contract income forecasts

 

Building good relationships with operational managers and clinical leaders will be crucial.

 

 

 

A senior finance professional is sought, with at least 5 years NHS finance experience. Knowledge of the national contract and tariff is essential. This role could suit an experienced NHS accountant, who is looking to develop their contracting and team management experience. The drive to step away from the desk to build relationships and solve problems is a characteristic that we are looking for.
