GP Post-CCT Fellowship
Scartho Medical Centre

Scartho Medical Centre is seeking a Post CCT Fellowship General Practitioner to join our well established and friendly teaching practice in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. The GP will join our current team of three GP partners and two salaried GPs where humour, mutual support and work life balance are valued.

We are a successful, high achieving, PMS training practice with a growing list currently around 13,000. We are based in a newly built primary care centre which co-locates our practice with other community services. Our first priority is to provide  high quality patient-centred care, where personal development is encouraged and there are opportunities to be involved in areas such as medical student teaching, GPST training,  FY2 training, a wide range of enhanced services, palliative care or the local CCG.

This role is aimed at GPs who wish to develop extended skills in a number of key areas. The GP will work as an integrated member of the team in the practice for two days a week and spend two days developing skills and involvement in GP developments beyond the MRCGP curriculum and relevant to the fellowship and five year forward aims. They will also have protected education and training time facilitated by Health Education England to be supported to undertake postgraduate qualifications linked to their area of specialism and will receive an academic bursary to do so, leadership or education for example.

North East Lincolnshire has many attractions as a place to both work and live. The practice is located on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. As well as the larger centres the region has thriving market towns, picturesque villages, golden beaches, rolling hills, hidden valleys, and towns and villages that are not only steeped in history but offer affordable housing, outstanding schools and excellent transport links. The Lincolnshire Wolds is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is within easy reach of historic counties such as Derbyshire and Yorkshire. We have excellent road and rail links and some of the UKs most diverse and vibrant cities are easily accessible including Sheffield, Leeds and York.
