Nurse Practitioner
Full time preferred but part-time or job share considered

Scartho Medical Centre is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our well established and friendly teaching practice in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. We are ideally looking for a full time member of staff, but it is important to us to find the right person who shares our ethos and approach, so a part time position would be considered. The NP will join our current team of three GP partners and three salaried GPs where humour, mutual support and work life balance are valued.

We are a successful, high achieving, PMS training practice with a growing list currently around 13,000. We are based in a newly built primary care centre which co-locates our practice with other community services. Our first priority is to provide high quality patient-centred care, where personal development is encouraged.

The NP will work alongside our current team of 2 Nurse Practitioners, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, a Clinical Pharmacist, 3 Practices Nurses with a support team of HCAs and administrators. The post-holder will perform minor illness triage and signposting/consultation of patients

If you would like to have an informal discussion/arrange a practice visit please contact our Practice Manager, Debbee Wood, Tel: 01472 279527, Email: or Sarah Williams, Clinical Nurse Lead Tel: 01472 279500, Email:

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
