We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse or AHP to join our team. We are looking to employ or second, a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will work with the existing team of Practice Development Leads in our Surrey Training Hub hosted by our partners CSH Surrey.

This role will work in the Training Hub focussing on the East Surrey Integrated Care Provider (ICP) locality and supporting across Surrey more widely.

The post holder will provide leadership and management to enhance the capacity and quality of the learning environment for all pre-registration student nurses and multi-professionals in line with the NHS changes to workforce structures within Primary Care.

As the Practice Development Lead, you will work as part of our team taking responsibility and leading on:

  • Developing a learning infrastructure which ensures that all pre and post registration students (nursing and multi-professionals) receive a quality placement experience in Primary Care
  • Ensuring Assessors and Supervisors are trained and supported, in keeping with the standards and requirements of professional regulatory bodies such as the Nursing and midwifery Council (NMC), and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Work with local partners to support the development of career pathways and assist in building capacity for recruitment, retention, workforce development and career progression
  • Developing key working relationships and work in partnership with GP Practices and PCN’s, Multidisciplinary Teams, Universities and Health Education Kent Surrey and Sussex (HEKSS) to ensure the requirements in terms of placement provision are met as defined in the Learning Development Agreement (LDA) and the relevant Practice Placement Agreements

The role is offered part-time at 2-days per week, to support portfolio working, with flexible working available. You will need to be able to work well independently, managing changing demands and priorities and also be able to work effectively as part of a small busy team, working collaboratively with various organisations across the Surrey Heartlands region.

You will need the support of your line manager if you wish to undertake this role as a secondment. If you are efficient, enthusiastic, work well as part of a team and have a pleasant communication style this could be the role for you.
