Main duties of the job
The role of the Assistant Manager is to:
Support the Head of Domestic Services in managing operational service delivery across Barnsley Hospital.
Ensure the efficient delivery of Cleaning and Housekeeping services in line with requirements.
Recruit, train, control, monitor and co-ordinate staff across operational activities to include domestic and housekeeping activities to maximise efficiency and performance in these areas.
In conjunction with the Supervisors and Team Leaders, ensure plans and schedules operate to resource the service delivery requirements, including contingencies, so that conditions are always met.
To work with the Trust and managers and supervisors in monitoring and recording of service activities and levels of performance to demonstrate compliance and improve efficiencies.
