Main duties of the job

Your Role:

As Clinical Manager, youll oversee the clinical service delivery within the home, ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and person-centred care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating care plans and managing long-term and complex health conditions to reduce hospital admissions
  • Ensuring compliance with clinical governance frameworks, including participation in audits
  • Using monitoring and reporting systems to demonstrate high-quality service delivery
  • Staying up to date with clinical guidelines and best practices to maintain excellence in care
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring effective communication across the care team
  • Manage the homes Registered Nurses and work with the Deputy Manager and General Manager in the management of other Care team members.
  • Conduct clinical supervisions, appraisals, and supporting CPD for nursing staff in line with NMC standards

  • Solid understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience in care delivery within a Trust or Nursing Home setting
  • Proven ability to lead and manage staff effectively
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and audit methodologies
  • Excellent organisational skills and a calm, diplomatic approach to challenges
