Job summary
The Ashcroft Practice has an exciting opportunity for a GP Assistant to join our proactive care team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, motivated, and passionate about supporting high-quality patient care within primary care.
As a GP Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our clinical and administrative teams, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the practice. Your main responsibilities will include managing the repeat prescription process, filing clinical letters, and verifying blood results, while maintaining excellent patient communication and record-keeping.
Main duties of the job
Operate the repeat prescribing system.
Order any required tests
Arrange patient reviews
Ensure patients are followed up if they do not attend appointments.
Act at all times with regard to the confidentiality and sensitivity of issues to do with patients, their care and treatment.
Record and document all patient contact.
Post verification of blood results.
