The Primary Care Network (PCN) Manager is a key leadership role within Apollo PCN, supporting the Operations Director and Clinical Directors to ensure the effective running and future development of the network. The post holder will lead operational delivery of the PCN DES objectives, oversee the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) workforce, and support innovative models of care such as proactive hubs and care home services.
Working closely with Practice Managers, clinicians, community partners, and system stakeholders, the PCN Manager will build strong relationships to deliver joined-up, patient-centred services for the local population. They will be responsible for coordinating projects, developing business plans, supporting bids for new funding, and ensuring governance, HR, and financial systems are in place.

Main duties of the job
The PCN Manager will lead the daily operational delivery of Apollo PCNs priorities, including PCN DES objectives and workforce planning. They will act as the first point of contact for Practice Managers, coordinate ARRS staff deployment (including proactive hub clinics and care home rounds), and ensure high-quality, patient-centred services. The role involves developing and maintaining the PCN business plan, preparing reports and proposals, and supporting bid writing and service innovation.
The post holder will oversee recruitment, induction, and HR processes for PCN staff, including rotas, appraisals, training compliance, and performance management. They will support financial processes such as staff payments, practice reimbursements, and claims, ensuring financial governance and reporting are accurate.
Information management responsibilities include monitoring contractual targets, data reporting, and compliance with GDPR and information governance standards. The PCN Manager will build strong relationships with practices, system partners, and community stakeholders to promote collaboration and service integration. They will also contribute to governance, risk management, and business continuity planning, ensuring Apollo PCN meets its objectives effectively and sustainably.
