Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Nurse to join our team. This role focuses on delivering immunisation programmes, performing cytology and providing evidence-based care to patients with long-term conditions while also providing preventative healthcare to the broader practice population. You will work closely with the practice team to address patient needs.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care, including:

Managing long-term conditions, with a focus on diabetes and respiratory health.

Providing cervical screening services, including cytology sampling, in line with the NHS Cervical Screening Programme guidelines.

Implementing health promotion initiatives.

Administering immunisation programmes, including routine UK childhood immunisations, seasonal flu vaccinations, pneumococcal and shingles vaccines, as well as travel vaccinations.
