Job summary

The Communications and Engagement Assistant will be based at NEMS Platform One. The role is office-based with some flexibility for home working after the induction period. All equipment will be provided. Travel is required across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire venues to support in-person events. Some online evening work is required to support virtual events.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small and dynamic team where you can shape and directly impact our communications to make our offers visible to the Primary Care workforce. This is a position for a creative, innovative and talented individual who is willing to learn and develop their career in communications and healthcare. This role is designed for a person who can hit the ground running, take initiative and respond quickly on their feet to provide informative and engaging content to our audience. This includes ensuring digital accessibility and inclusivity across channels, language and imagery used.

Digital communications develop and maintain our social media channels, newsletter, website, and our Grow Notts Primary Care App to promote our offers.

Design and creative support creation of publication designs and branding for our communications platforms.

Communications campaign planning help to plan activities and coordinate campaigns to raise awareness and understanding of our offers.

Content writing work with team members to simplify technical and complex information and write copy on our offers that is tailored to different audiences and channels.

Internal communications keep team members informed of task progress in a timely manner, respond to all internal queries and encourage staff to submit content requests.

Event public relations create social media hashtags for events, take and share photos and videos, build community interactions, and do sound bite interviews with delegates.

Video editing edit and brand recordings of our online events and promote via our YouTube channel.

Analysis and evaluation support collection, analysis, and reporting of communication engagement data, evaluate effectiveness and make evidence-based improvements.

Communications Group Chair review performance of our digital communications and implement feedback from colleagues.

External communications networks build close relationships with communications teams across our partner organisations and share each others content.

Brand and reputation increase the visibility of NATH across Primary Care, and seek opportunities for local, regional, and national award recognition.
