  • To be involved in Practice development, identifying service changes and developments in line with clinical needs locally and work to develop these as part of PBC and other processes
  • Maintaining records of appointments and other administrative duties
  • To maintain skills and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain personal competency.

  • To provide assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice working in accordance with the NMC Code of conduct
  • Provide nursing treatments to patients independently or in participation with other clinical colleagues working to agreed protocols and guidelines
  • Provide general and specific health screenings to the Practice Patients within agreed protocols and guidelines referring to other members of the clinical team as necessary
  • To manage Patients with chronic diseases; running specific clinic sessions and maintaining robust call and recall systems
  • Participate in national screening work such as cervical cytology and meet targets delivering the national immunisation and vaccination schedule.

To maintain accurate, comprehensive records of all consultations and treatments in the Patients notes, both written and computerised.

Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient health care and registration with the Practice.

Ensure collection of statistical information is required for regular and ad hoc reports.

To have working knowledge of equipment used in the surgery

Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality at all times in line with current legislation.

Contribute to the development of new Patient services.

Inform your line manager of any reported or suspected failings in the provision of care within the Practice
